Community Participation

Community Participation

What is it?

Community Participation is a service that allows NDIS Participants to be active in their community. Moreover this is done with the help of a Support Worker. Participants are at the centre of this support. With full choice of where they want to go and what they want to do. A choice of Community, Social and Recreational Activities are available for Participants to choose from. Whether you want to have coffee at a Cafe, eating out at a new Restaurant or Shopping. Feeling adventurous? A Support Worker can come with you on an outdoor hike to see a waterfall! The choices are limitless, it is all up to what you want to do.

We may not allow a Support Worker to take you to some places if we think it is dangerous for you. This will be explained to you when necessary and a different activity will be recommended.

This NDIS Service focuses on bringing happiness to the Participant. Where a person is included in society and involved in the community.

Community Participation can be beneficial for you

The three main principles of Community Participation are:

  1. Doing what you love.
  2. Being able to do what YOU want to do. That is truly what makes us happy. Having the choice in doing what we want to do and going where we want to go.
  3. Connect with your community. You can connect with your community in various ways of your liking.
